Mendota Sweet Corn Festival 2007- Thursday August 9- Sunday August 12.
Tons of free, hot, buttered, delicious Del Monte sweet corn will be the highlight of the 59th annual Sweet Corn Festival to be held in Mendota, Illinois on August 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
Mendota is preparing for over 60,000 visitors, who consume nearly 50 tons of sweet corn during the festival weekend. The festival offers a variety of entertainment events for the entire family. The events take place primarily in the downtown area, and with the exception of the beer garden.
Our Mendota Community, along with Black Bros. Co., is built on people helping people. This festival is a long standing tradition that brings together so many people and the kindred spirit of Mendota. Black Bros. Co. employs several past Sweet Corn Festival Chairmen and is extremely involved in the community celebration.
The good times are waiting, the welcome mat is out, come to Mendota for one of the Midwest's oldest and largest harvest festivals, the 59th annual Sweet Corn Festival.
