Monday April 14, 2008 - Al Portzen Retires after 39 years

Black Bros. bids farewell to one of its long time Engineers on March 20, 2008, with refreshments, a gift and accolades from management and his co-workers.  Al Portzen began at Black Bros. in March of 1969, in the Drafting Department.  During his employment, Al designed many machines, including the 775 Adhesive Spreader, The Titan, Black Bros. Hot Melt Spreader and our line of Coil Coating Machinery. Many Black Bros. customers will remember Al from trade shows and his many special project visits.  After being an integral part of the Black Bros. Engineering for the past 39 years, Al looks forward to a less stressful life enjoying travel and his shooting sports.
