Black Bros. Co. finished 2006 with the debut of a Vertical Chemical Coater to Material Science Corporation in Elk Grove Village, IL. The coater, designed and delivered in less than 5 months, was the first vertical from Black Bros. new family of coil coating machines. Applying a pre-treatment to a strip of steel at 500 feet per minute is just the function of this new Vertical Chem. Coater. The steel processed by the machine will most likely become automotive parts. This extraordinary machine features precision head engage/disengage and a separate 12” retract system for ease of service. Load cells and indicators for head and pan positions added to the automation of the coater.

Co., Mendota’s oldest manufacturing company, designs and builds roll coaters for a wide variety of industrial fluid coating application and introduced a new family of coaters specifically designed for the coil coating industry in 2001. This new family of machines featuring the latest technology and their roll coating experience has been well accepted in the coil market. Coil Coater models available from Black Bros. Co. include horizontal, Vertical and S-wrap machines along with a variety of shuttle head and instant change variations.
